One of the most effective ways to follow the quality management system is to have our employees understand the ISO 9001: 2015 standard – which is considered as the foundation for any manufacturing industry to enter the competitive market.
We at Glowtronics recognize and stand by the fact that knowledge and awareness of a subject is the key to success. Our priority is quality and complying with ISO standards.
With several products in the pipeline for development, we realized that with more number of certified internal auditors we can ensure that a quality management system can be effectively followed with implementing quality management principles and continual improvement on our systems. The number of trained internal auditors can also help us adopt “one auditor, one process” method for our planned internal audits.
We selected a diverse set of employees (in total 22) from across all the processes in Glowtronics. The training group included employees from working in Design, Materials, Marketing, Production, Quality, Human Resource departments.
We decided to request in for Mr. Eshwar from Bureau Veritas India (BVI) Certification Body since it has certified us with ISO 9001:2015 and EN ISO 13485: 2016. A two-day training schedule was proposed by BVI and we went ahead.
After several mock audit exercises, the two-day training ended with a 90 min test to assess the understanding of the standards.
